Memorial Park

As you search places to visit in Jacksonville Florida, one that may come up is Memorial Park. Memorial Park is a public park located in the Riverside neighborhood of Jacksonville, Florida. It was designed by the Olmsted Brothers, the same landscape architects who designed New York City’s Central Park, and opened in 1924 as a memorial to Floridians who died serving in World War I.

The park is situated along the banks of the St. Johns River and features a reflecting pool, walking paths, and several monuments honoring fallen soldiers. We were impressed on how popular this park is. Many locals and visitors stop by to enjoy a peaceful stroll, have a picnic or just take part in outdoor events. The park is also a popular venue for weddings and other special events due to its beautiful scenery and historic significance. Photographers like us enjoy doing engagement photos here as well. This is a must place to visit in Jacksonville Florida.

Jacksonville Beach Florida

There are many beautiful places in Jacksonville Florida. One of our favorite locations is many of the Jacksonville Beaches along the Atlantic Ocean for capturing beautiful photos. Some locations are:

Jacksonville Beach Pier: The pier has a great vantage point for capturing beautiful shots of the beach and ocean. You can also capture the sunset or sunrise from the pier, which can make for some amazing photos.

Atlantic Beach: This is another beautiful beach in the area that offers great opportunities for beach photography. You can capture shots of the waves, sunsets, and beachgoers enjoying the scenery. You can never go wrong when going to this beach which offers stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and is perfect for a day of sun, sand, and surf.

In the evening you can walk south of Atlantic Beach and enjoy one of the many restaurants in the area as you listen to live music. There are many great photography opportunities there too. These are just a few of the many locations for photographers in Jacksonville, Florida.
